How it works: EIIS relief reduces your taxable income. The deduction is grossed at the 40% marginal rate, so a €30,000 investment at 35% relief lowers taxable pay by €26,250 (investment × 35 ÷ 40). 2026 standard rate bands and tax credits are applied to both columns; the difference in net income tax is your relief. Tax credits subtract equally from both columns, so they show your realistic net liability without changing the saving.

Disclaimer: this calculator is for general information purposes only. It estimates income tax only (not USC or PRSI), assumes zero pension contribution and the 2026 tax year, and applies relief at the 40% marginal rate. No credits are applied automatically; select those that apply to you. The married, two-income band assumes the second earner has income of at least €35,000. Several credits are income-tested. Figures are 2026 rates published by the Revenue Commissioners. Professional advice should be taken regarding your specific circumstances. BVP Investments Ltd is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.
